Mechanism of action

Tegoprazan functions as a powerful and very specific potassium-competitive acid blocker. The drug’s mechanism of action differs from that of proton-pump inhibitors since it may directly block H+/K+ ATPase in a reversible and K+ competitive manner without needing to be converted into an active state.
